February 03, 2017

The great thing about landing pages is that it directs the visitors to a particular offer without the distraction of everything else on the website. It’s one of the most important elements of your lead generation strategies. More landing pages = more leads. Visitors arrived on the landing page because of one purpose: to get the offer. And you have one mission: to get the visitant fill up and submit the lead form. You have in just a statement to convince them to take their interest and turn it into an action

We have come very far on landing page creation and optimization; we have talked about recommendation like removing the nav menu, what are the elements of an effective landing page, and landing page optimization tip. This time, we will give another tip on creating your landing page, and that is: match the headline of the landing page to its corresponding call to action (CTA).

You might wonder why the headline of the landing page should correspond to CTA when the visitor is already on your landing page? Well, here’s a question to think about: what is your reaction when you’re offered a freebie, but you later know that there are hooks on getting it? You know that little fine print...  Chances are you will be disappointed and have trust issues with the person or company who gives the offer. Same thing with landing pages and CTA’s.

If the landing page headline reads differently on the CTA it might lead to confusion, and the visitor might wonder if he’s on the wrong page, or worst it could result in loss of trust. Keep your messaging consistent both in your CTA and the headline of the landing page. Moreover, eliminate any possible confusion, and make sure your landing page reflects what you promised in your call to action and vice versa. Keep the excitement and trust from when they clicked on your CTA to when they have completed the form on your landing page.
